BUY PLYWOOD

We are a small business with limited staff and can sometimes get a little overwhelmed. We cannot always answer the phone when the machinery is running and will usually call back within 30 minutes.

We offer offcuts and can cut small jobs to size while you wait, we will cut large sheets if you need to fit them into your car. We are a cost effective solution to the big box stores and carefully choose the type of stock we keep based on experience, quality and price.

Local deliveries available from $40

Pickup from our warehouse is available during opening hours.

We are usually here Mondays and Tuesday but it is best to call. Sometimes we are on site or doing deliveries and our staff is limited. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are business as usual.

Plywood deliveries are available locally to the Redcliffe Peninsula and Most of the Brisbane area. 

Cut to size and/or shape is available. Simple jobs can be done while you wait most days. 

We have facilities available to cut to size, box up and courier to you around Brisbane ( or further) and are not far away from having it available in a drop down menu on the website. If the size is under 1800 x 1220 and less than 20kg we stick it in a $15 box ( our cost) to protect it and courier it all to you cost effectively. Call for a quote or to pay over the phone.

A couple of notes:

  • Our inventory is usually up to date online but sometimes we miss something and our online system may not be accurate. This can usually be resolved withing 24hrs if you order stock that ran out.
  • We can cut sheets to size and shape. Message us with your requirements and we will give you pricing.
  • Simple straight cuts are charged at $4.40 each. Other cutting and CNC will be quoted

SPECIALS

We are always trying to make sure some of the most common plywood is available for a great price. Often we can get limited runs and specials from suppliers dumping stock for various reasons and we pass that discount on to our customers.

PINE PLYWOOD

Pine plywood is the most common type of ply available. Pine ply is affordable and excellent value for the performance it offers. We are able to source any special needs you have and offer the following types we maintain in stock:

PG – Pallet Grade plywood made in Australia. General purpose plywood dirt cheap and excellent value for money.

CD – We don’t stock much of this ply as most customers are either choosing the cheaper or better finished ply.

BC – We have excellent quality BC ply in stock at great prices. If you want a budget friendly ply that has clean faces this is our go to.

BD – If you need ply that has 1 good face and the other is not so important this is a good choice. Due to our buying power with the BC ply, we don’t stock a lot of this as it can be dearer than the BC.

HOOP – Our Hoop pine is a high quality Australian product used when a very high quality clean finished Multiply is required. Recently the stock availability has changed to AB faces only. The 4mm is very popular with the interior glue line for cutting on laser CNC machines. Interior and Exterior bonds are available in most sizes.

MARINE PLY

Our current stock of Marine ply is a BB Meranti that performs to a very high level. Not too heavy, high performance BS1088 sheets that we believe are the perfect balance of price and quality. Yes we can get cheaper marine ply, yes we can source very high quality HOOP marine ply.

LIGHTWEIGHT PLY

Lightweight ply ( Falcutta ) is 2 faces of hardwood ply with lightweight Falcutta inside. It uses an interior Glue bond and is generally used for building Caravan walls and cabinets. We do sell a lot of this to people with laser CNC machines as it holds it’s shape and cuts exceptionally well. This is a clean cost effective ply that can be used in a lot of different projects. Faces generally present as BC. We stock a “Blonde” Falcutta as a preference for people wanting a lighter cleaner coloured sheet ( laser cutting/engraving). Very hard to beat this ply for quality and price.  Check Pre-Finished plywood for this ply with finished surfaces for cabinets and lining.

FILM FACE

Film Faced ply generically known as “Formply” is now available in options that go well beyond the basic formply.

12mm Film Face is a Eucalypt core ( known for it’s resistance to mould ) created specifically as a boat floor in Tinnies. Many manufacturers now use this as the surface is water resistant. Seal the edges, throw some carpet on it and you have an excellent cost effective solution that will outperform Marine Ply for a fraction of the cost.

Formply – Many uses other than just formwork, we keep a clean Non structural 17mm in stock.

Hexa – Hexagonal raised non slip surface used as Truck floors, trailers and many other things, we actually make many different products with it as we love the finish. Eucalypt core double sided Hexa film face always in stock.

MDF

MDF –  It’s cheap, paints and screws well.

PREFINISHED

Plywood with a range of finishes for many different projects.

Polyester/Embossed – A powder coated finish that is tough to scratch. Generally available on the lightweight Falcutta ply and used as a thin lightweight caravan lining material and carcass/cabinet material for building fit outs etc.

Vinyl – Vinyl finish available mostly on lightweight plywood with a wider range of colours available than Polyester. Available in both lining material and Cabinet/Carcass material from Nikpol.

Formica – A thinner version of the material used on most kitchen benchtops. We stock a black and White finished Formica plywood. Very heavy duty and wear resistant.

Melamine –  This is the material most kitchen cabinets are made from. Available on MDF and Particleboard in a white finish. Stipple is the textured finish you find on most cabinets. Satin and Gloss are the most common variations.
